Introduction to Genealogy

The Pikes Peak Historical Society is pleased to present Greg Liverman’s Introduction to Genealogy on Sunday, November 17 at 2pm at the Lake George Charter School in Lake George.
The program provides an overview of genealogy and an introduction to tracing your family history by examining how Greg discovered his family history. His discoveries included some surprises about the Livermans’ connection to Colorado in the early years of statehood.
Greg has been researching family history since the 1990s working with both online and on-the-ground records in many states and foreign countries, leveraging a degree in chemistry, a long career in the computer industry and a stint as a working television journalist for KRPC in Houston. In recent years, Greg has specialized in DNA analysis.
Greg recently launched Pinewood Genealogy with his wife, Wendy Dillenschneider, to help others with their research and genetic genealogy (DNA) analysis.
This presentation is part of the Pikes Peak Historical Society Chautauqua series and is provided as a public service. Admission is free and refreshments are served. The Lake George Charter School is located only 4
minutes west of Florissant, on the south side of Highway 24 just past the Ferrell Propane lot. No reservation is required. For more information call 719-748-8259 or 719-748-3861.
